Scouts

The foundations for ANS Scouts was laid by the late Kru Chirtra Dansuputra, the founder of ANS and a past member of the World Scout Committee for Asia-Pacific. ANS Scouts curriculum aims at developing leadership and life skills beyond the classroom and daily routines. Students are actively engaged in outdoor activities.

ANS holds two Scouts camps a year for Year 2 to Year 10. Activities are designed for appropriate ages and split into three levels with each higher level becoming more challenging.

  • Year 2 - Year 4 : Cub Scouts take part in two day camps per year.
  • Year 5 - Year 7 : Scouts takes place at one day camp and one overnight camp at a camping site.
  • Year 8 - Year 10 : Senior Scouts takes place at one day camp and one overnight camp at a camping site with one night stay in tents.

Students get to practise skills on road safety, self defence from crime, natural disasters, gain hands-on experiences on survival skills, first-aid and develop leadership through carrying out missions by working in teams.

Through the Scouts Programme at ANS, students are encouraged to:

  • Be disciplined
  • Sacrifice
  • Have leadership
  • Be harmonious
  • Learn essential life skills
